Its hand tufted finish ensures the layers of fillings are held securely in place by inserting tapes through the entire mattress at regular intervals and attaching tufts on each side. The foundation of the mattress consists of a supportive sleep system made up of totally independent pocket springs housed within their own flexible cloth sleeve. Piston-like support is provided to all parts of the sleeper39;s body as each pocket spring can move freely, so the load on one spring is not affected by any neighbouring springs. A flat rod-edge metal frame is fitted to the perimeter of the spring unit to ensure the integrity of the nested pocket springs and allow you the full use of the mattress width.
