Blending a combination of pocket springs and deep layers of natural fillings, the Signature Comfort divan bed is designed to offer a soft to medium support. The mattress is upholstered in a luxurious 100 Viscose fabric and features a traditional hand tufted finish that ensures the fillings stay firmly in place. The layers of natural fillings such as wool, cotton, cashmere and silk help to regulate body temperatures to keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The interior of the mattress features a unique make-up of 1000 central pocket springs, with 1000 mini tablet pocket spring comfort layers on either side. Pocket springs are small in diameter compared to traditional open coils and housed in their own cloth sleeves that are totally independent of any surrounding springs. Reserved for premium mattresses, an added feature is side-stitching; a labour intensive and intricate technique that takes many years for craftsmen to master. The side-stitching process involves the outer rows of springs being sewn to the mattress border by using high-tension twine and a long upholstery needle. This highly skilled process ensures the border will not bow out over time. This provides edge-to-edge support and increases the sleeping surface by 20. To complete the set, the mattress is paired with a deep divan base that offers a selection of fabrics and colours, a range of storage options and a choice of feet.
